” This year Tapin Regency is the place for the second time the National Rally (South Borneo Rally), as the host of course we hope this championship can be upgraded to an international agenda, ” said M Syarifuddin in Rantau, Tapin, Saturday.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive of the National Rally Series 2 South Kalimantan m Prayudha said this year’s Championship took place on October 19-20 by presenting new track innovations without neglecting the two iconic circuits (Kampil and Balipat), which have become the hallmark of Tapin Regency.
He explained that this year’s event consists of 12 special stages (SS) that combine clockwise and anti-clockwise circuits, starting with seven SS in the first round and continued with five SS in the second round with a distance of 241.57 kilometers.
The committee presented the concept of sportainment and the race will be broadcast live to provide an opportunity for the rally community throughout Indonesia to witness this competition.
South Borneo Rally 2024 also received support from the South Kalimantan provincial government and various sponsors, with the hope that this championship can develop the Tapin Regency area as a sports tourism destination.

With a combination of racing tradition and commitment to sustainability, he said, the South Borneo Rally 2024 is not only a competition event, but also a moment that strengthens the tourism appeal in Tapin Regency.
Some of the names of the rally drivers who will enliven, namely Haji Rihans and Haji Yoga representatives from the host, Ryan Nirwan from Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia, and several others who are ready to compete on The Borneo challenge track.
