Citadel Racing Team satisfied with results in Porsche Sprint Challenge

The Citadel Racing team is quite satisfied with the results of the race at the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia event which took place at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok on December 9-10.

In an official statement received by reporters, Wednesday, Citadel Racing Team with its talented racer, Aldio Oekon, achieved impressive results by occupying two podiums in the first round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia.

Talented team driver Aldio Oekon took the third podium in the first race on Saturday in the sprint race and took second place in the endurance race on Sunday.

Aldio Oekon said the results of yesterday’s race were quite satisfactory for him and his team. This is an exciting race especially with cars that are relatively new and sophisticated, even this is the first GT3 race and the first car race in Mandalika.

“For the first time driving a GT3 car and the first time also entering the Mandalika circuit is a challenge. A car that has great power, incredible grip with a layer of tires and a circuit that has a high speed sector and technically makes this race even more challenging,” said Oekon.

Oekon revealed that he had conducted an evaluation to increase the test time so that he could improve his abilities and understand the character of the car and the circuit.

“The future evaluation is to increase the track time, so that it can improve driving skills, better understand the character of the car and the circuit, which is expected to get the best record time under 1.34 seconds and be consistent in the next series,” said Oekon.

To prepare for the next series, Oekon said he had prepared physically, mentally and better abilities both in terms of drivers and teams.

“The next race we will definitely prepare physically, mentally, and the ability to be better and ready again from the driver and team. The next series must at least be able to maintain yesterday’s achievement, or it can be even better,” said Oekon.

The second round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia will be held on January 12-14 and the third round on January 26-28, 2024.
