Aldio Oekon impresses in the second series of the Porsche Sprint Challenge

Citadel Racing Team rider, Aldio Oekon performed impressively in the Second Series race of Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia which took place at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit on Saturday (13/1) and Sunday (14/1).

The 27-year-old took the third podium for the sprint race and the first for the endurance race.

“I am happy because I can meet the target to get a better result in the second series, which is to win the first podium. Of course I would like to thank all the team members who have worked hard to be able to get this result. I hope the third series is even better, ” said Aldio Oekon as quoted from the official statement, Tuesday.

This achievement also maintains and improves the positive trend made by Aldio in the first series on December 9-10. At that time Aldio Oekon won the third podium in the sprint race and grabbed the second podium in the endurance race.

Aldio Oekon performed very confidently with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. After taking the podium three in the sprint race, Aldio Oekon performed more ferociously in the endurance race.

Starting from the fourth position, Aldio Oekon can overtake one by one rider in front of him. Aldio Oekon’s struggle is even greater because he appears as a single rider in endurance races.

Aldio Oekon also appreciated the support provided by Pertamina, and Pertamax Turbo, developer PARQ (Bali), leading helicopter and tour rental company Balicopter (Bali), tourism startup On Bali, business consulting services company Magenta (Jakarta), and boutique real estate provider Very Real Estate (Bali).

The third round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia will be held on January 26-28, 2024. After the two series races, Aldio Oekon is quite optimistic that he can take the highest podium again. In addition to being more familiar with the character of the car, Aldio also began to memorize the conditions of the Mandalika circuit track which is very challenging.
